Nigerian collage student falls to his death while fleeing a police raid.

Malaysia:  A Nigerian college student fell to his death from the sixteenth floor of his condominium in Batu Uban, Gelugor  last night, while trying to flee a police raid.

The incident occurred at 6:00 p.m. when the Penang police’s drug and criminal investigation division invaded the 37-year-old man’s home.

According to Razlam Ab Hamid, the northeast chief district police the victim opened the door during the raid but promptly closed it upon spotting the officers.

This, according to him, compelled the cops to smash down the door.

“There was another man, also believed to be a Nigerian, inside the unit and we arrested him.

“Since we could not find the man who opened the door earlier, we conducted a further search in the area.

“We then found the body of a man lying on the ground floor of the condominium, believed to be the same man who opened the door.”

He further added that another man of the same nationality, believed to be their friend, was also detained while trying to flee from the 8th floor.

The case has been labeled as a sudden death and the other two suspects are undergoing investigation under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
