The Defence Headquarters in Nigeria has called on the public to thwart the activities of terrorists in the new year, urging citizens to maintain heightened security awareness and report any criminal incidents to security operatives. Speaking to journalists in Abuja, Director of Defence Media Operations, Edward Buba, assured that the military would respond to such reports promptly. Buba, using the trending youth slang “no gree for anybody,” encouraged Nigerians to stand firm against terrorists, emphasizing the importance of staying true to one’s beliefs and resisting external influence. However, the Nigeria Police Force spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, cautioned that the use of this slang could potentially lead the country into crisis.
