According to a reports, Adanma Luke, the producer of the movie in which Junior Pope was featuring before the unfortunate incident occurred in Anam River, voluntarily turned herself in to the police on Thursday, April 11. She provided a statement detailing her involvement in the incident.
SP Tochukwu Ikenga, spokesperson of the Anambra State Police Command, confirmed Adanma’s surrender and stated that two boat operators have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody.
In a chat with LIB, SP Ikenga assured the public that the police are committed to conducting a thorough investigation into the incident and that all parties involved, including other movie cast and crew members, will be invited for questioning.
The tragic incident in Anam River has sent shockwaves through the Nollywood community, prompting calls for stricter safety measures during movie productions. The surrender of Adanma Luke to the police marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation.
