CURRENT REPORT BLOG The Northern Consensus Movement of Nigeria has announced its plan to cease the supply of food from the North to the southern part of the country. This decision comes as a response to an ultimatum issued by Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba nation agitator, demanding that the Fulani community vacate Yorubaland within ten days. Awwal Aliyu, the group’s President, emphasized their commitment to preventing this action and mentioned that if the ultimatum persists, they will call for Yorubas residing in the northern region to return to their home territory. Additionally, the group called for compensation for victims of ENDSARS-related violence, the Shasha-Akinyele market incidents, and violence associated with IPOB/ESN. They have given a four-week ultimatum for these demands to be met and warned of a nationwide protest and the suspension of food supplies to the southern region if their concerns are not addressed within the specified timeframe.
