Speaking on behalf of the LND, spokesman Ladan Salihu explained that the committee, composed of Northern experts in law, public accounting, legislation, and academia, will conduct a clause-by-clause examination of the proposed legislation.
“The initiative reflects our commitment to ensuring that laws embody the principles of justice, equity, and prosperity for all Nigerians,” Salihu stated.
The committee’s tasks include:

- Ensuring alignment with constitutional, religious, and cultural values.

Timeline and Public Presentation
The committee has pledged to complete its comprehensive review within one week. Its findings will be presented publicly in an electronic and tabular format, allowing for transparency and clear communication with policymakers, legislators, the media, and the public.
“The LND assures the public of the committee’s ability to produce thorough and well-reasoned recommendations that maximize benefits for all Nigerians,” Salihu added.
