CURRENT REPORT BLOG In recent developments, Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has spoken out against the widespread social media criticism aimed at Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

The backlash ensued following Adeboye’s reported statement suggesting that Nigeria’s challenges have spiritual roots. However, Odumodublvck has expressed his disapproval of the online condemnation directed at the religious leader.

In his statement, Odumodublvck highlighted a disparity in the treatment of clerics across religious divides, pointing out that Muslims generally refrain from insulting their religious leaders in a manner akin to what some Christians have done.

Additionally, he emphasized the importance of showing respect to elders within the Christian community, citing Adeboye’s age and stature as reasons deserving of reverence, particularly from Christian youths.

“You do not see Muslims come out to insult their clerics. Then later we complain that our religion is being stepped on.

“Even based on age wise, una no fit follow una papa talk the way una dey follow Adeboye talk. And he senior una papa and mama.

“That’s why I never rated you n*ggas on this app. Una double standards choke.”
