CurrentReport Blog The Ogun State Government has allocated two and three-bedroom bungalows to 50 additional subscribers in the Prince Court Estate, Kobape Phase 3. This initiative, announced by the Commissioner for Housing, Jamiu Akande Omoniyi, on Tuesday, is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to address housing demands and fulfill promises made to previous subscribers.
Addressing Housing Shortfalls
Omoniyi explained that the new allocations prioritize subscribers who missed out on the mid-year Phase 2 housing allocation of 100 units. He assured residents that remaining subscribers will receive their homes in the first quarter of 2025 as part of the eco-friendly Phase 3 housing scheme.
Due to increasing demand for affordable housing, Phase 4 of the Prince Court Estate Kobape Scheme will also be unveiled soon.
Payment Requirements for Subscribers
The commissioner highlighted that each new subscriber must pay a subsidized fee of N3.5 million within 60 days to cover infrastructural facilities in the estate. Failure to comply will result in the withdrawal of allocations.
Future Housing Developments
Omoniyi reaffirmed the state’s commitment to Governor Dapo Abiodun’s housing policy, which aims to make affordable homes accessible to citizens. Additional housing projects set for commissioning in 2025 include:
- Gateway Aviation Village in Iperu-Remo
- GRA Regeneration Schemes in Abeokuta, Ijebu Ode, and Ilaro
- PMB Estate
