Speaking during an interview with City FM, the former bread seller-turned-model shared harrowing details of her past, including years of physical abuse and emotional trauma.
Allegations of Abuse and Career Challenges
Olajumoke revealed that while living in her ex-husband’s family house in Ire, Osun State, she endured hostility from her mother-in-law and physical abuse from her husband.
“Whenever I had a misunderstanding with his mother, he would beat me to the extent that my face and body would be swollen. Sometimes he would even use a belt,” she recounted.
She added that her ex-husband would always side with his mother and never listened to her side of the story. Despite the abuse, she chose to remain silent, fearing societal judgment and lacking support from her own family.
Decision to Leave and Move to Lagos
In January 2016, following a particularly violent incident, Olajumoke decided to leave her marital home. She relocated to Lagos with her two children, seeking refuge and a fresh start. Her move marked the beginning of her transition from a struggling bread seller to a celebrated model, after she accidentally walked into a photoshoot with British rapper Tinie Tempah, captured by photographer TY Bello.
Life After Separation
Olajumoke revealed that her challenges did not end after her separation. She alleged that her ex-husband actively tarnished her reputation, which adversely affected her burgeoning career.
“Everything started going down the drain after separation because he started spoiling my name. Since then, things started going down,” she said.

Olajumoke became an internet sensation in 2016, earning global recognition after her unplanned appearance in Tinie Tempah’s photoshoot. Her rise to fame brought her modeling contracts and brand endorsements, but her personal struggles have overshadowed her success in recent years.
