CurrentReport Blog Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has approved the payment of a N73,000 minimum wage for workers in the state, surpassing the federal government’s approved N70,000. This decision highlights the governor’s commitment to the welfare of Ondo State workers.
The announcement was made on Saturday during the flag-off of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial campaign for the Ondo Central senatorial district, held in Ondo City. Speaking to a large crowd of supporters, Aiyedatiwa outlined his administration’s achievements and urged voters to back the APC in the upcoming off-cycle governorship election on November 16, 2024.
Aiyedatiwa emphasized the importance of continuity, urging supporters to convert their enthusiasm into votes for the APC to ensure continued development across the state. He stated, “On November 16, I urge everyone gathered here and those who are not present to convert your support into votes for the APC to ensure the continuation of our significant progress in the state.”
Highlighting his administration’s accomplishments, the governor mentioned various projects in agriculture, road construction, and rural development. He noted that over a billion naira had been approved for land clearing, and several rural road construction projects had been launched to boost productivity for farmers.
