Osimhen under too much pressure to score for the Super Eagles

CURRENT REPORT BLOG Moses Simon, a winger for the Super Eagles, claimed that supporters are placing undue pressure on Victor Osimhen to score goals for the team in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
In his three competition appearances for the Super Eagles, Osimhen had only scored once.

Simon made it clear that the team should be the centre of focus rather than just one player.

The winger recognised Osimhen’s extraordinary talent and called him “the best striker in the world.”
Simon proposed that the team as a whole takes responsibility for whatever happens on the pitch.

“We know that we have the best striker in the world in our team, which is Victor Osimhen,”

“There is too much pressure on Osimhen to score. We have all missed good chances in the competition. I missed a good chance in the last game too.” This was said at a press conference in Abidjan on Friday.
