Governor Adeleke has directed his Special Adviser on Security Matters, Mr. Samuel Ojo, to immediately mobilize joint security teams to protect key government structures in the state capital.
The directive, issued amid ongoing tensions, underscores the governor’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in Osun State. Security personnel have been deployed to strategic locations, including the Government Secretariat, Government House, and the headquarters of the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC).
Governor Adeleke’s proactive approach emphasizes the importance of upholding the rule of law and fostering dialogue within the constitutional framework. He has called for a renewed focus on national unity and advocated for ongoing constitutional amendments aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s federal system.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke urged agitators to engage constructively in the reform process, emphasizing the need for greater autonomy and responsibilities for the states.
