CurrentReport Blog The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a rallying cry to Nigerians, urging them to stand firm against policies that undermine democracy and jeopardize the welfare of the people. In a statement released on Tuesday, the PDP congratulated Nigerian workers on International Workers’ Day while condemning the adverse effects of the current administration’s economic and fiscal policies.

Despite facing daunting challenges exacerbated by the policies of the All Progressives Congress (APC) government, Nigerian workers have remained resilient, serving as the backbone of the nation’s economy. However, the PDP expressed concern over the nine years of hardship endured by citizens due to what it termed as “rudderless and insensitive” governance.

The PDP particularly denounced the relentless increase in electricity tariffs and fuel prices, which have further burdened the already struggling populace. The party called on the APC-led government to prioritize the welfare of citizens and to review its policies to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians.

Amidst these challenges, the PDP emphasized the importance of maintaining hope and perseverance. The party urged Nigerian workers and all citizens to remain steadfast in their commitment to building a stable, united, and prosperous nation, especially during these trying times.
