CurrentReport Blog Premier League powerhouses Chelsea and Arsenal are intensifying their pursuit of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, according to renowned transfer expert Ben Jacobs. Despite recently extending his contract with Serie A champions, Osimhen is expected to depart this summer, with a staggering release clause of around €130m attached to his new deal.
While interest in Osimhen is widespread, with Paris Saint-Germain also throwing their hat into the ring, Jacobs asserts that the 23-year-old’s heart is set on a move to the English top flight. In an exclusive interview with Givemesport, Jacobs shed light on the ongoing saga, emphasizing Osimhen’s preference for the Premier League.
“We still can’t rule out Arsenal in the race for Osimhen,” Jacobs remarked. “It’s also true that PSG have Osimhen very, very high on their list of targets and can move in the market because they will free up money due to Kylian Mbappe’s departure.”
Despite PSG’s allure, Osimhen’s sights remain firmly set on England, providing encouraging signs for both Chelsea and Arsenal. Jacobs disclosed insider information suggesting that Osimhen’s wage demands hover around £250,000 per week—a figure well within the financial reach of all three suitors.
