President Tinubu Nominates Saseyi Ibiyemi as Ondo Resident Electoral Commissioner, Abdulrazak Tukur as INEC National Commissioner

CurrentReport Blog President Bola Tinubu has nominated Saseyi Feyijimi Ibiyemi as the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Ondo State. Ibiyemi, 58, who currently serves as the Administrative Secretary of INEC in Lagos State, will replace the late Niyi Ijalaye, who passed away in August. Hailing from Ilaje, Ondo State, Ibiyemi is a law graduate from Obafemi Awolowo University (1987) and holds a Master’s in Election Management from Bingham University.

Additionally, Tinubu has nominated Abdulrazak Yusuf Tukur, 59, as INEC National Commissioner representing the North West. Tukur has extensive experience with INEC, having joined in 1999 and recently served as Director of Electoral Operations and Logistics until December 2023. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from Bayero University and a Master of Arts from Leeds University, UK. Both Ibiyemi and Tukur are awaiting Senate confirmation.
