Sheila shared her reflections during a conversation with her friend Ginika, a snippet of which went viral on Wednesday. Despite the pain surrounding her separation, Sheila emphasized that she holds no regrets about ending her marriage.
“I did not regret any decision I have taken because it was all bound to happen. I believe strongly that God is in charge of all that happens in our lives whether positive or negative, there’s a master planner behind everything,” she expressed.
However, Sheila did not shy away from acknowledging the emotional toll the divorce has taken on her. She particularly lamented the involvement of her close friend and mother in their marital issues, which added to her distress.
“But I’ve had my moments of sadness. I feel so bad about the whole thing especially the way my friend and my mum were dragged into it [our divorce]. That has hurt me. But generally, I have zero regrets,” she admitted.
Their relationship, which began with a grand traditional ceremony on October 20, 2022, in Benin City, ended just eight months later amidst allegations of domestic violence and infidelity.
