CurrentReport Blog Super Falcons midfielder Halimat Ayinde has been ruled out of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris due to a knee injury. The unfortunate news was confirmed by her club, Rosengard, who disclosed that Ayinde sustained the injury during a training session.
“Halimatu Ayinde injured her knee during training and will miss the Olympics. We wish her a speedy recovery,” Rosengard announced on their official X account.
At 29, Ayinde has been a pivotal player for the Super Falcons and was recently named in the squad for the upcoming Olympics by head coach Randy Waldrum. Her absence is a significant blow to Nigeria’s aspirations at the Games.
