CurrentReport Blog The United States has voiced its condemnation over the harrowing abduction of school children in Kaduna State and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Borno State, Nigeria. Reports indicate that approximately 200 IDPs, predominantly comprising women, boys, and girls, were kidnapped by suspected terrorists while gathering firewood in Gomboru-Ngala and Dikwa council areas.
In a statement, the US Mission in Nigeria stated, “Our hearts go out to the victims’ families. We stand with you in demanding the perpetrators face justice and the immediate, safe return of all taken. We support Nigeria’s efforts to secure their release.”
