CurrentReport Blog The tight-knit community of Iru Egbede in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria, is reeling from the disappearance of Miss Faith Omodon, a diligent 200-level student from Delta State University (DELSU). Since March 30, 2024, Faith has been missing, sending shockwaves through the community.

According to reports, Faith, a dedicated student in the Department of Public Administration, was last seen on March 30, when she left for the farm. Her sudden disappearance has plunged her family, friends, and the entire community into despair.

Mr. Edward Omodon, Faith’s distraught father, recounted the harrowing moment when the news of his daughter’s disappearance disrupted their national conference. He mentioned that Faith had left for the farm that morning, taking her breakfast flask with her, but never returned.

The village vigilante group, led by Mr. Ikpoba Johnbull, immediately sprang into action upon hearing of Faith’s disappearance. Despite their exhaustive efforts, including combing the surrounding areas and seeking assistance from neighboring villages, they found no trace of her except for the remnants of her lunch flask.

In a desperate plea for help, Mr. Donald Egboko, the National Youth chairman of the community, implored security agencies to intensify efforts in locating Faith. The case was reported to the Abudu Police Division, and subsequently transferred to the State Police Command for further investigation.

Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Iyayi Kenneth, confirmed the report and assured ongoing efforts to find Faith. However, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, pledged to escalate the matter through the CID department for a thorough investigation.

As the search for Faith intensifies, the community urges anyone with information to come forward and assist in bringing her home safely. The uncertainty surrounding Faith’s whereabouts has left a void in the hearts of her loved ones, who cling to hope for her safe return.
