Wike made this revelation on Saturday night, following an inspection of the ongoing construction of a 30.4-kilometre road from the Abuja-Lokoja Expressway to Gomani in Kwali Area Council.
According to a statement released by his spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, the minister assured residents that several completed projects would be commissioned as part of the celebrations for Tinubu’s two-year anniversary.
FCT Development: Projects to Be Unveiled Soon
While Wike did not specify the exact projects to be inaugurated, he assured Nigerians that a detailed list would be made public soon.
His administration, he said, remains committed to improving infrastructure in the FCT, ensuring that projects awarded are executed efficiently and within schedule.
“That is why I insisted that we will only give out jobs to contractors who show capacity and not based on sentiment,” Wike stated.
He expressed satisfaction with the progress of the Abuja-Lokoja-Gomani road project, highlighting its importance in enhancing connectivity and boosting economic activities in rural communities.
