CURRENT REPORT BLOG: Popular Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has found himself at the center of a digital storm following Nigeria’s loss to Ivory Coast in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 final. The Super Eagles suffered a 2-1 defeat against Ivory Coast, contrary to Edochie’s confident prophecy on social media.

Before the much-anticipated match, Edochie boldly predicted on his social media platform that the AFCON final would not reach a penalty shootout and assured fans that Nigeria would secure a comfortable victory over Ivory Coast. However, the outcome left many fans surprised and led to a flurry of reactions online.

Yul Edochie, who recently embarked on a new journey as a minister, had been gaining attention for his online ministry, claiming a divine calling. Despite not having a physical church yet, Edochie has been actively sharing spiritual messages with his followers online.

In his first prophecy shared yesterday February 11th 2024, Yul Edochie wrote; “Today’s game will not get to penalty shootout. Nigeria will defeat Ivory Coast comfortably.”
